5:00 a.m. Run starts at Sir Barton Way – out .3mi to Winchester Road – Left uphill incline 5%grade, under I-75 bridge (1.3)mi from start – past WKYT/27 2mi marker – and continue on the beautiful rolling Bluegrass road. POLICE ESCORT until Clark/Winchester County line (begin disappearing shoulder run) 8mi marker, Water Tower at 9mi …..course finishes Mini-Marathon by parking lot circle into Appleby’s! Full Run turns back toward Lexington in front of Appleby’s.
DIRECTIONS: From Louisville – I-64 past Newtown, Broadway, take Winchester Road / 110 EXIT, (right from north-left from south) .4mi turn left onto Sir Barton Way.
